PUBLIC AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT
The Public Affairs Lead acts as the digital voice and community manager for Gamers For Hope, responsible for all official social media channels to ensure that our mission is represented throughout the web. This position is responsible for creating energetic content, keeping up with real-time updates throughout marathons, and working directly with our fans to build a loyal and interactive community. Through strategic planning and execution, this position ensures that we maintain a consistent and professional online presence throughout all channels.
SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR
The Special Events Coordinator serves as the creative architect for some of the marathon’s most impactful scripted elements, guaranteeing that the marathon kicks off and wraps up with maximum emotional impact. This role oversees the meticulous planning and execution of Event Intro and Outro, as well as curating the highly energetic Donation Reels that highlight the charitable giving of the gaming community at large. This role also oversees the production of “Midnight Mayhem,” our signature recap shows that analyze the day’s best moments in a unique, high-octane way.
ZAPS COORDINATOR
The Zaps Coordinator serves as the principal architect for our year-round programming, curating a dynamic schedule of special showcases that ensure the community stays engaged between our marquee marathons. By discovering new talent from a variety of backgrounds and conceptualizing unique themes for each broadcast, they guarantee each “Zap” is a new and exciting experience for viewers, resulting in consistent fundraising and brand awareness. In addition to creative aspects, this role oversees the operational flow of these productions, functioning as a proving ground for new innovations in streaming. Ultimately, this role ensures organizational energy and a constant, highly effective vehicle for speedrunners to support our cause throughout the entire year.
VOLUNTEER MANAGER
The Volunteer Manager serves as the primary architect of the event’s workforce, overseeing the entire lifecycle of the volunteer experience from initial recruitment to final recognition. During the live marathon, the manager acts as a central point of contact. By fostering a supportive and organized environment, the Volunteer Manager ensures that the passion of the community is effectively channeled into a professional and seamless fundraising operation.
